Baltic Regatta 2021: These ships will visit us

Marta Kufel

The selection process of vessels which will take part in the Baltic Regatta is under way. Applications are filed by vessels from Poland, and i.a., from Lithuania or Russia.
The preparations for the Tall Ship Races 2021 will not be wasted. Three cities from three different countries: Tallinn, Klaipeda and Szczecin have not given up and are still in the game.
We decided to organise two-stage regattas: Tallinn-Klaipeda and Klaipeda-Szczecin. The Baltic Regattas will be held between 16 June and 1 August. Sailing ships will start the race in Tallinn, from where they will go to Lithuanian Klaipeda, to finish their journey in Szczecin.
“We all miss sailing ships and yachts along our piers, fluttering flags and sea shanties, said Celina Wołosz, spokesperson of Żegluga Szczecińska Turystyka Wydarzenia. Information on the vessel selection procedure can be found on www.balticregatta.eu. We know that Pogoria, Bonawentura, Spanish Atyla and Lithuanian Brabander will take part in the race. We are also expecting Dar Młodzieży, Russian Shtandart and Krasotka, and Polish Baltic Beauty and Blue Velvet in Szczecin.
Captains and ship owners may submit their vessels for participation in the regattas. All you need to do is to fill in a form on www.balticregatta.eu and wait for a confirmation from host ports.
