"The Magic Flute" is the most popular fairy tale on stages around the world.
The opera's libretto provokes many questions and interpretations. It can be told like this: There was a sorcerer, Sarastro. No one could defeat him, because he had magic Solar Circle, a talisman of unlimited power. One day, Sarastro kidnapped the beautiful daughter of a sorceress, the Queen of the Night. She called for help a young prince Tamino, who went to fight armed only with a magic flute, his youth, beauty and love for princess Pamina. The girl doesn't submit Sarastro, so he decided to give her back to the prince if he passes the deadly trials. Pamina was attacked by Monostatos, Sarastro's servant and then her mother ordered her to murder Sarastro and stole for the queen the Solar Circle with unlimited power. Pamina didn't do this and she walked away with Tamino. The Magic Flute helped the young couple to defeat adversities. Sarastro and the Queen of the Night fighted.
And when they have fallen on the battlefield there finally comes the time for better tomorrow.
