This year, the band SETA celebrates its 50th anniversary.
SETA was formed in Wrocław in 1976 by students of the University of Wrocław. Later that same year, the group won the local Student Tourist Song Review in Wrocław, and in the following year received distinctions at major student and tourist song festivals.
Among the band’s founders were Stanisław Gola and Andrzej Mróz, who still perform with SETA today. Over the years, many Wrocław students have been part of the line-up, including Kazimierz Nowiński and Stanisław Rogowski, who also continue to perform with the group.
SETA’s repertoire has long included many original songs, as well as settings of texts by classic Polish poets.
