The band Hulajdusza was formed in spring 2007 by Agnieszka Filipiak and Iwona Gulczyńska.
It all began with a “spark of poetry” that brought together the creative talents of the two women. Over the years, the band has worked with various musicians, each of whom has undoubtedly helped shape its distinctive character. Since 2013, Hulajdusza has consisted of Agnieszka Magdalena Filipiak, Iwona Gulczyńska and Marta Lang.
The band performs sung poetry, including original songs and musical compositions set to works by well-known poets such as R. M. Rilke, L. Staff, K. K. Baczyński and M. Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska. At the beginning of its musical journey, Hulajdusza received the main award for artistic sensitivity at the FAMA festival held at Od Nowa in Toruń. The group has also co-organised numerous charity concerts, including Angels for Natalia.
Hulajdusza received a cultural scholarship from the City of Toruń. Later, in 2014, the band released an album simply entitled Hulajdusza. The group is currently releasing its new album, Źródło, online; it is already available on Spotify and YouTube.
The band was associated with Toruń’s Dom Muz cultural centre until the end of its existence.
