Philharmonic Musicians at Walerian Pawłowski Square

    Skwer im. Waleriana Pawłowskiego

September concerts at Walerian Pawłowski Square in Pogodno, Szczecin’s villa district, have become a cherished local tradition.

The square was named after Walerian Pawłowski thanks to the efforts of the Pogodno District Council. For nearly 20 years, musicians from the Szczecin Philharmonic have honoured his memory with September concerts, reminding audiences of an important and colourful figure in the city’s musical history.

A Sunday afternoon in the open air is the perfect opportunity to enjoy a light and engaging programme performed by members of the Szczecin Philharmonic Orchestra.

This year’s repertoire has been prepared for listeners of all ages. The musicians will take the audience on a journey through film, popular and classical music, with themes from John Williams’s Star Wars and Indiana Jones, excerpts from Gustav Holst’s The Planets, and hits associated with Queen, Europe, Deep Purple, Taylor Swift, Elton John, Céline Dion, Survivor, The White Stripes and Imagine Dragons.
