The Ducal Castle in Szczecin
The event will feature two choirs, bringing together nearly 100 performers: the Choir of the Maritime University of Szczecin, conducted by Sylwia Fabiańczyk-Makuch, and the Women’s Choir of the Maritime University of Szczecin, conducted by Dominika Mastalerczyk.
In a springtime atmosphere, audiences will hear a varied choral repertoire, ranging from sacred music and contemporary works to compositions inspired by folk traditions, negro spirituals and arrangements of popular music. The programme includes works by Piotr Jańczak, Christopher Tin, Michael McGlynn, Moses Hogan and Z. Randall Stroope, among others. The concert will also feature a musical surprise performed by the male section of the Choir of the Maritime University of Szczecin.
The concert will have a special character, as it also serves as the graduation concert for students of the Academy of Art in Szczecin from the conducting class of Professor Sylwia Fabiańczyk-Makuch: Emilia Adrianek, Emilia Kałek, Kalina Pacuk, Jan Kowalówka and Eugeni Walczok, who will conduct the choirs during the evening.
