The most iconic hits by Kayah are presented here in entirely new, distinctive jazz arrangements, alongside her own original songs which have always carried an innate jazz sensibility and now return with renewed vitality.
The programme also includes well-known jazz standards, not only American ones. After all, Poland boasts a rich catalogue of jazz evergreens, many of which are among Kayah’s personal favourites.
Joining the artist on stage is an outstanding line-up from the jazz scene. At the heart of the ensemble is Jan Smoczyński, a pianist, composer and music producer behind many of Kayah’s projects. Rooted in jazz but drawing on an impressively broad range of musical interests, he is renowned for creating refined, cross-genre musical collages.
The rhythm section is formed by musicians of truly international stature: Michał Barański and Michał Miśkiewicz, long-standing pillars of leading ensembles on the Polish and international jazz scenes.
