Global Jazz Concert | Szczecin Jazz 2026

The Global Jazz Concert is an all-star event and one of the most powerful highlights of Szczecin Jazz 2026. Acclaimed artists from the international jazz scene will come together on one stage – Grammy winners and nominees, visionary bandleaders, and musicians shaping the contemporary sound of jazz.

The programme will feature both original projects by the artists and moments of collective improvisation, where the classical jazz tradition meets modern forms, electronics, groove and Afro-Cuban energy.

Artists

Tia Fuller (USA)

Grammy-nominated saxophonist, composer and educator, and daughter of the legendary Curtis Fuller. She is widely recognised for her contribution to the soundtrack of Pixar’s Soul and for her long-standing role in Beyoncé’s touring band. Her style blends jazz virtuosity with R&B and pop influences, while her stage presence and energy place her among today’s leading instrumentalists.

Lakecia Benjamin (USA)

One of the most important voices in modern jazz. A saxophonist, composer and arranger, she has received multiple Grammy nominations and has collaborated with Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys and Macy Gray. Her albums Pursuance: The Coltranes and Phoenix are bold artistic statements that have firmly established her international reputation.

Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz Performance Ensemble at UCLA (Global)

An elite ensemble of outstanding young musicians selected through an international competition and trained within UCLA’s prestigious master’s programme. The group works under the mentorship of jazz legends, including Herbie Hancock and Artistic Director Ambrose Akinmusire. The ensemble performs worldwide and is regarded as one of the foremost incubators of contemporary jazz talent.

“From Taiwan with Love” – Plutato ft. Cait Lin (Taiwan / Australia)

A collaboration between the Taiwanese trio Plutato – operating at the crossroads of jazz and electronic music – and vocalist Cait Lin, an artist of Taiwanese-Australian heritage. Their music combines modern production, atmospheric textures and expressive vocals, creating a fresh, original fusion of jazz, soul and alternative influences.

Carlos Sarduy & Groove Messengers (Cuba)

Three-time Grammy-winning trumpeter and one of the most prominent Cuban musicians of his generation. His style merges jazz improvisation with Afro-Cuban rhythms and compelling stage expression. Groove Messengers deliver vibrant, pulsating grooves with uncompromising musical excellence.
