Dr Misio at Słowianin

Katarzyna Jackowska

Dom Kultury Słowianin
On 7th March at 19:00, the walls of Słowianin will shake as Dr Misio, the rock band led by Arek Jakubik, takes the stage. Doors open at 18:00, and tickets are available from 75 PLN in advance and 90 PLN on the day of the concert, both online and soon at the venue.
Dr Misio is an all-male ensemble fronted by Arek Jakubik, one of Poland’s most recognisable actors, known for his acclaimed dramatic roles in Wojtek Smarzowski’s films (Wesele, Dom Zły, Drogówka, Wołyń, Kler). Beyond acting, Jakubik has also made a name for himself as a scriptwriter and director of ambitious film projects.
The band delivers raw, unfiltered rock’n’roll, blending powerful sound, heavy riffs, and intelligent, thought-provoking lyrics penned by Krzysztof Varga and Marcin Świetlicki. Dr Misio offers more than just music; their performances are an intellectual and artistic experience, appealing to rock fans and those seeking deeper reflections in art. With no room for musical compromise, their concerts become ritualistic gatherings of energy and rebellion.
The band has released five albums, achieving significant airplay on Polish radio stations, while their music videos have amassed millions of views on YouTube. Their latest album, "Chory na Polskę", was released in November 2023 and continues to push boundaries both musically and lyrically.
Tickets are available online, with in-person sales opening soon at Słowianin.
