Helena Majdaniec Summer Theatre in Szczecin
An exceptional concert by one of the biggest stars of the international jazz scene. Candy Dulfer – one of the world’s most recognisable saxophonists, often hailed as the “Queen of the Saxophone”.
Candy Dulfer is a brand in her own right. Since the release of her Grammy-nominated debut album Saxuality, the Dutch artist has remained a presence on the world’s greatest stages. Her distinctive saxophone sound has become a hallmark of contemporary jazz, funk and pop.
She rose to international fame with the iconic track Lily Was Here, recorded with Dave Stewart of Eurythmics. Over the years, she has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music, including Prince, Van Morrison, Pink Floyd and Beyoncé. Prince famously said of her: “When I want sax, I call Candy.”
Candy Dulfer’s concerts combine virtuosity, funk-driven groove and extraordinary stage energy. Her performances are full of rhythm, charisma and a direct rapport with the audience, turning every concert into a true musical celebration.
As part of Szczecin Jazz, this concert brings together world-class music and the unique atmosphere of the Summer Theatre. Let the sound of the saxophone and its pulsating rhythm carry you away on this unforgettable July evening.
