Donuta on the case
Katarzyna Jackowska

Szczecin Philharmonic
Donuta becomes a musical detective! In each concert, young music lovers will join her in solving sound-related mysteries, searching for hidden melodies, and discovering what lies between the notes. This series is full of surprises, interaction, and shared discoveries – perfect for little sound explorers. How does a string quartet work? How is sound made – and can you touch it? Is silence a kind of sound, too?
We’ll investigate the secrets of sound, rhythm, and harmony with the help of experiments, puzzles, and of course... live music! Together, we’ll peek inside the world of chamber music – exploring its structure, relationships, and subtle nuances.
Donuta is a series of chamber concerts specially designed for the youngest listeners – preschool and early primary school children. Thanks to the concert’s unique format, children actively participate in musical journeys that not only enrich their experiences but also teach them the importance of active listening and sensitivity to sound. Live music performed by the musicians of the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin forms the heart of each event, blending theory and practice in a way that’s engaging and understandable for young audiences.
