      Żagle 2022: Another music star

An unforgettable weekend is coming soon. Lots of sailing ships will arrive in Szczecin. On 19-21 August, the quays at Chrobry Embankment will be dominated not only by an abundance of masts, but also by excellent music. Another music star of “Żagle 2022” has been announced.

Grzegorz Hyży will perform on stage on Friday, 19 August, and Patrycja Markowska with her band on Sunday, 21 August. On Saturday, we will be given the opportunity to listen to another star of the younger generation. Viki Gabor will sing on Łasztownia. All concerts will be free of charge. Lots of fun guaranteed.

The 15-year-old Viki is the most popular Polish star of the young generation. She has already received five Fryderyk nominations and won many plebiscites.

She was born in Germany and later lived in England for several years. Eventually, she settled in Poland, in Krakow. She comes from a very musical family. Her first time on stage was in The Voice Kids. She made it to the final and her single “TIME” already has over 5 million views. In 2019, she performed in Sopot at the “Top  of the Top Sopot Festival Young Choice Awards”. In October of the same year, she won the “A Chance for Success Eurovision Junior”. Later, she performed in the UK on the Bars & Melody’s concert tour.

In November 2019, she represented Poland in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. She is the only singer in the history of this competition to have done the impossible, leading Poland to claim victory for the second time in a row. Her song “Superhero” has more than 24 million views on Youtube.

In early 2020, Viki recorded a song with Kayah. The tune called “Ramię w Ramię” proved to be a big hit. On Youtube, it has already been viewed by more than 52 million people. On 4 September 2020, she released her debut album entitled “Getaway (into my imaginations)”, which went gold.
