You can drink water on the running and cycling route around Arkonka

From this afternoon, on the pedestrian and cycling path around the Arkonka bathing place, you can drink water straight from the tap… or from a water fountain, to be exact.

The water fountain at 1 Międzyparkowa Street has been installed by employees of the Water System Department of ZWiK sp. z o.o. in Szczecin. The task was carried out as part of one of the Szczecin Participatory Budget projects.

“Its main purpose is to provide access to drinking water in spring and autumn, especially in the summer, for people who actively use the running route and the cycling lane around Arkonka,” said Tomasz Makowski, Spokesperson for ZWIK Sp. z o.o. in Szczecin. “Thanks to placing the drinking water fountain along the route, water will be available not only for runners and cyclists but also for inline skaters, Nordic walkers and other people.”
