Potassium iodide is now available at the distribution points in Szczecin

The Government has prepared a plan for the distribution of potassium iodide tablets. The tablets will be distributed to citizens on an additional recommendation of the Governor of the Province in the case of a radiation event. A total of 70 distribution points for the tablets in Szczecin have been prepared. They are mainly located in educational facilities.

If the procedure is launched, potassium iodide will be dispensed to adults who will collect them from the point that is closest to their place of residence.

At present, there is no real threat and there is no need to start distributing potassium iodide tablets to residents. According to the medical indications, the preparation is intended for people up to 60 years of age.
