Philharmonic repertoire for the new season and ticket sales

Bruce Liu’s recital, Zbigniew Preisner’s “Requiem for My Friend”, Adam Bałdych with Leszek Możdżer, Aga Zaryan, Pianohoolohan, or Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 so much adored by music fans ‒ these are just some of the music events scheduled for the jubilee season.

The repertoire for the first part of the season has been already published, and the pre-sale of subscriptions under new rules as well as ordinary ticket sales will start soon.

The repertoire for the first part of the season includes a list of all concerts to be held until the end of December 2023, as well as the much-loved concert series presented as a whole (i.e., from September 2023 to June 2024).

To celebrate the two wonderful anniversaries ‒ the 75th anniversary of the Szczecin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra and the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Philharmonic itself ‒ we have planned a range of events for music fans, including encounters with outstanding artists, the most beautiful symphonic music (both popular and less known), as well as emotional concerts in the concert series greatly appreciated by music fans.

This year’s resident artist is the proMODERN sextet ‒ the only vocal ensemble in Poland specialising in performing contemporary music and a winner of five Fryderyk awards of the Polish music industry. The upcoming artistic season will feature four proMODERN concerts, the first two on 15 September and 3 December 2023.

      New subscription rules

In the coming season, new subscription rules will apply. The will subscription include the purchase of at least 7 tickets per person for 7 concerts of the subscriber’s choice. Therefore, it will be possible to purchase tickets to both symphonic concerts held on Fridays, and chamber, jazz, traditional and family concerts within one subscription. The subscription will also cover concerts in the True Musicians Tournament and the MUSIC.DESIGN.FORM festival.

Subscription holders will be offered a 15% discount on each ticket along with attractive discounts in the Philharmonic store.

Persons interested in attending only the symphonic concerts will be able to choose seven concerts from the Friday schedule. This rule remains unchanged.

Another new feature is the cycle subscription. While for classical music and educational events we have only presented the first half of the season so far, the Rubato (world music), Espressivo (jazz) and Brillante (popular music) cycles have been scheduled as a whole, i.e., both for the first and second halves of the 2023/2024 season.

Cycle subscriptions include all concerts from a given cycle throughout the season. Subscription holders will be offered a 10% discount on each ticket along with attractive discounts in the Philharmonic store.

      Ordinary ticket sales

As in the previous year, the Philharmonic has decided to honour its most zealous music fans by giving them the opportunity to purchase tickets in advance. This time, we are offering two days of pre-sale for those buying subscriptions ‒ namely, 20 and 21 June. The box office will open earlier, at 11.00 a.m.

Please note: On the pre-sale days, buyers of traditional and/or cycle subscriptions will also be able to purchase single tickets for other concerts.

On 20 and 21 June, only those buying a subscription or cycle subscription (possibly with other tickets) will be served at the box office.

Online sales of tickets and subscriptions will begin on 22 June at 1.00 p.m. No booking e-mails sent to the Philharmonic box office before that date will be processed.
