“Made in Szczecin” Festival: A special treat for those who love local products

On the last weekend of February, OFF Marina will host a special event – the first edition of the “Made in Szczecin” Festival. The weekly Szczecin Gourmet Bazaar will take place as usual, this time also on Saturday. The two initiatives join forces to promote local brands.

The first festival of the “Made in Szczecin” brand will take place on the weekend of 24-25 February. Join us in the side hall on OFF Marina’s first floor, where local laureates of the prestigious “Made in Szczecin” award will offer their products during the two days. There will be an amazing lineup of brands to suit all tastes.

“Taking place at the same time as the Festival, in the big room, will be the Szczecin Gourmet Bazaar, where you can grab a breakfast and fill up your bags and baskets with some fine produce. Traditionally, you can choose from a wide range of products available directly from producers and farmers – bread, spices, seasonal vegetables and fruit, juices, preserves, pickles, eco delicacies, healthy dairy, eggs, eco raw and smoked meat, and many more,” said Tomasz Klek, Spokesman for the Szczecin Metropolitan Development Agency.

Usually taking place on Sundays only, this time the Gourmet Festival will also be held on Saturday to accompany the “Made in Szczecin” Festival.

      “Made in Szczecin” Certificate:

Awarded since 2018, this distinction has already been given to more than 320 entities. Of these, about 120 have the right to use this mark to market their products. The “Made in Szczecin” mark may be attached to products or services which have been offered on Szczecin's market by businesses, institutions and other entities operating within the Szczecin Metropolitan Area for a period of at least a year before application. “Made in Szczecin” is an honorary brand and as such does not entail any financial gratification or tax relief. What it does, however, is provide its holders with the opportunity to participate in economic promotions organised by Szczecin and the right to use the brand's logotype in publicity materials. The Szczecin Metropolitan Development Agency has been the project’s coordinator on behalf of the City.

      Szczecin Gourmet Bazaar

Held every Sunday, it is Poland's biggest event combining an eco-bazaar, a breakfast fair and a design zone. Thanks to its unique offerings, it has been going strong for seven years already. At the Gourmet Bazaar, you can get fine regional produce and seasonal foods directly from producers and farmers. On offer is a plethora of tasty options, including bread, spices, foreign products, seasonal vegetables and fruit, juices, preserves, pickles, eco delicacies, healthy dairy, eggs, eco raw and smoked meat, olives, honey, coffee and tea, healthy baked goods and desserts, natural cosmetics and many more.
