      Coal certificates in the new year

      Starting from 2 January 2022 the City Office will issue certificates confirming entitlement to purchase the second batch of coal. We would like to remind you that the holding of such certificates is necessary if you wish to purchase coal on preferential terms.  

      Pursuant to the Act of 27 October 2022 on the Preferential Purchase of Solid Fuel for Households (Journal of Laws of 2022, Item 2236), coal may be purchased on preferential terms by households which:

      - have been paid coal allowance;

      - have submitted an application for payment of coal allowance and that application has been granted by the Szczecin Benefit Centre;

      - have not submitted an application for payment of coal allowance but which meet the eligibility conditions described in the Coal Allowance Act of 5 August 2022.

      The sale of coal is conducted on the basis of certificates issued by the City Office in the following depots:

      - Firma Handlowo-Usługowa Jarosław Kolski (Trade & Service Company Jarosław Kolski), ul. Świerczewska 5, Szczecin, tel. 517 596 546;

      - Przedsiębiorstwo Handlowe Węglobud S.A. (Węglobud S.A. Trade Company),  Heating fuel depot, ul. Jesienna 16, Szczecin, tel. 91 462 95 28, 501 153 951.

      - Andrzej Pawełczyk, heating fuel depot, ul. Młyńska 1A, Przęsocin, tel. 509 395 455;

      - Passa Michał Karaś, ul. Warcisława I 4B, Szczecin, tel. 91 421 43 99.

      Certificates issued after 1 January 2023 entitle its holders to a one-off purchase of 1.5 tonnes of coal until the end of April 2023. 

      Note! Certificates issued prior to 31 December 2022 will be valid in 2023. Persons who have collected their certificates until 31 December, but have not bought the full amount of coal (1.5 tonnes) may purchase the remaining batch also after 1 January 2023, but only at the same depot. 

      Applications for coal certificates will be accepted at the Department of Environmental Protection, room 360 (3rd floor, left wing, pl. Armii Krajowej 1) and at the Szczecin City Office Branch in the Prawobrzeże District, ul. Rydla 39-40, stand 9.
